AI in the Workplace
Everyone seems convinced that AI will eventually replace humans in business, but I don’t buy it—and more importantly, I don’t think we should want it to. While AI can automate tasks, analyze data at lightning speed, and improve efficiency, it cannot replicate judgment, empathy, creativity, or the lived experience that drives real connection and trust. Businesses aren’t just systems and spreadsheets; they’re built on relationships, intuition, and accountability. If we allow technology to fully replace people, we risk creating organizations that are faster but emptier, optimized but disconnected. The real danger isn’t losing jobs—it’s losing the human experience in work: mentorship, collaboration, problem-solving, and purpose. AI should be a tool that empowers people to do better work, not a substitute for the very humanity that makes business meaningful in the first place.
